Welcome to the Cardiac CT course , I hope you’ll enjoy it and find it useful.
This course is conducted using a simple approach that aims to reach as many colleagues from different sub specialities as possible.
This course will give a brief introduction of the basic physics and anatomy at the beginning. This will include contrast protocols of different clinical indications. The physics and anatomy aspects of cardiac CT imaging will be discussed and embedded within different contexts and cases to approach this difficult field with ease.
The course will also discuss offline analysis on one of the work stations through a detailed explanation of how to use.
This series of lectures provide a clear algorithm to approach CAD, structural heart pathologies as well as demonstrate the use in the common CT indications.
The commonest world wide cause of death is coronary artery diseases, which is why the course includes reporting coronary CT as well as the role of CT in coronary bypasses and coronary stents.
The course will be frequently updated by adding up to date lectures. Lectures on aortic imaging , common and complex congenital heart defects will be added at a future date.
This course also aims to share and widely disseminate the knowledge of cardiac CT in the medical community to address the widely expanding role of CT in managing heart pathologies.
